How live flight tracking works
Most aircraft broadcast their position, altitude and speed several times a second via ADS-B (Automatic Dependent Surveillance–Broadcast). A worldwide network of volunteer ground receivers picks up these signals and shares them. ScanFlyGo plots that data on a live map so you can watch flights move, tap any plane to see its route and aircraft type, and follow a specific flight from take-off to landing.

Where does the flight data come from?
Aircraft positions come from community-run ADS-B receiver networks (airplanes.live and adsb.lol). Coverage is worldwide but not 100%, and data is for information and entertainment only — not for navigation.
